This brand new "Un-Bendable" cam gear retainer bolt replaces the factory 2 piece bolt and washer setup to retain the cam gear. This bolt has an enlarged face for greater contact area with the cam gear, and is made from a high strength material that impervious to warping or bending. The stock washer on the factory setup will flex and bend over time which can cause the cam bolt to come loose. When this happens, the cam gear will shear the woodruff key off as it is all that is left holding the cam gear in place. We deem it necessary to replace the factory cam and washer with this heavy duty retainer bolt to prevent catastrophic engine damage.
