Pistons come in .038” over bore for 455 engines and are a flat top design with .300" deep, 9cc valve reliefs. These pistons have a 1.995” compression height, .990" pin and utilize the popular 1/16”, 1/16”, 3/16” ring package. Approx. 11:1 compression with stock deck height and 70 cc combustion chamber heads, and 12:1 with .010” deck height. These flat top pistons can achieve over 13:1 depending on your combination. 

455 .038 11:1-13:1 Compression Ratio 

Pistons have the same bore, valve reliefs and ring features as our TA 1611, but with 1.775” compression height. When used with our 494 stroker combination the modified compression height reduces the amount of side loading on the piston. Part Number TA 1612 is specifically for our 494 stroker kit. Use TA 1610 custom pistons for all other bore and stroke combinations.
